The purpose of this study was to compare the dimensions of attachment, fear of negative evaluation, social and academic adjustment based on different levels of academic achievement in students with visual impairment. Descriptive research design was causal-comparative. Participants of this study included 211 people of students with visual impairment in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in all universities of the country during the academic year of 1396 - 97. The snowball method was selected. In order to collect the research data, each participant completed the Collins' Attachment Scale (1996), A brief version of the Fear of Negative Evaluation Leary (1983) and Social and Academic Adjustment Subscales of the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire Baker and Siryk (1984). Data analysis method was multivariate analysis of variance. The results showed that there was a significant difference between students in high and low academic achievement in all research variables (p<0/05). Also, there was a significant difference in anxiety and avoidance of attachment, fear of negative evaluation and social adjustment among students with moderate and lower academic achievement. In high and moderate educational groups, the differences in all variables were significant except for avoiding attachment and academic adjustment. Considering that people with visual impairment have an attachment, fear of negative evaluation and adjustment with more problems than sighted people, on the other hand, in today's advanced world, one of the symptoms of a person's success is his academic achievement, hence attention Social support for students with visual impairment is essential to their academic achievement.

The aim of the present study was to compare the self-determination and its dimensions between students with and without intellectual disability. Research methodology is the form of scientific-comparison. The population of the study consisted of all students with and without intellectual disability age 14 years and older which in educated year 91-92 are educating at schools in shiraz. The participans of this study were 120 students (60 with intellectual disability and 60 without intellectual disability) with age of 14 and above, which in targeted way were selected from the school related to with and without intellectual disability students. In this research, self-determination and its dimensions were evaluated by using Self-Determination Scale (Gomezvela.et.al,2012). In order to analysis the data, two way analyse of variance and repeated measures were used. The results indicated that students with intellectual disability gain lower score in self-determination rather than student without intellectual disability. Also there were not significant difference between boys and girls in total scores of self-determination, behavior autonomy and psychologically empowered dimensions. Only in self-realization there was a significant difference between girls and boys. The other results of this research is that, among the different dimension of self-determination between two groups students with and without intellectual disability, the higher rank accrued to psychological empowerment and the lower rank accrued to behavioral autonomy. Also according to the parents education levels, there was significant difference in total score of self-determination and its dimensions between both groups of students with and without intellectual disability.

The purpose of this study is to determine the share of self-efficacy, self-esteem and achievement motivation in predicting quality of life of physically disabled youth in Shahrekord. For sampling, 70 members of institutes for disabled persons in Shahrekordare selected randomly in spring of 2011. Subjects’ quality of life, self- efficacy, self- esteem, and achievement motivation are measured by WHOQOL-BREF, general self-efficacy scale, Rosenberg's self-esteem scale, and Herman’s achievement motivation questionnaire respectively. For assessing demographic characteristics, a researcher-made questionnaire is used. Descriptive statistics and stepwise regression is used for data analysis. The results of stepwise regression show that self-efficacy can significantly predict the rate of quality of life in physically disabled young persons(P=0.002), but adding each one of self- esteem and achievement motivation variables to self-efficacy variable cannot increase significantly the power of prediction of quality of life in these subjects. As conclusion, self- efficacy has an important role in explaining the quality of life in physically disabled young persons. Thus, based on the findings of this research, it is suggested that the self-efficacy training programs be performed for individuals with physical disabilities at medical and educational centers.

Behavioral problems ofmentally retarded childrenare one of the most important human issuesand the most complex and difficult problems of children and young adults whichremain to the age of adulthood. On theother hand, studies of behavioral problems are primarily done withinstatistical classical models; while the relationship between psychologicalvariables is not so accurate. So the present paper examines the role ofself-efficacy, language development, and social skills on behavior problems of mentallyretarded children as reported by teachers using flexible procedures. For so doing, all the mentally retarded boy students of East Azerbaijan in the academic year 1391-92formed the statistical population of this research;from among whom 28 students were selected by cluster sampling and the pertinent teacher filled four questionnaires for each student (GeneralSelf-Efficacy of Sheerer & et al.; Language Development of Newcamber & Hamyl; Social Skills of Gresham & Elliot; and BehavioralProblems of Rutter). In this study, the content validity was confirmed by the experts in the field using Delphi method, and also the rate of Chronbach alpha for all the variables was reported to be above 85% which suggests a good reliability for the instruments. The results of fuzzy linear regression analysisshowed that language development has almost no role in the behavioral problems of the students; butthe general self-efficacyand social skills reducebehavioral problems ofmentally retarded students. Findings ofthis research might be helpful in solving the behavioral problems of children with mentalretardation.

This study investigated the relationship between emotional insight and attachment styles of intelligent and normal students in Zahedan. It was an applied research using field study method. Among all intelligent and normal students of a high school in Zahedan, 120 intelligent students and 120 normal students were chosen by simple random sampling method. To collect data, the questionnaire for emotional insight features and the revised questionnaire of a dual attachment scale were used which were developed by Collins and Read. t-test results showed that there was a significant difference between intelligent and normal students in their emotional insight; in other words, the emotional insight of intelligent students was more than that in normal students. Also the secure attachment style in intelligent students was more than that in normal students, but the dual and avoidance attachment styles in normal students was more than that in intelligent students. Pearson correlation method showed that there was a significant difference between emotional insight and secure attachment of normal and intelligent students; on the other hand, there was a direct relationship between emotional insight and secure attachment. Also, there was a reversed relationship between avoidance attachment and emotional insight.: It can be concluded that intelligent students had a better secure attachment, and this attachment style in normal students can be improved through exercise and training.

Abstract Personality traits play a vital role in the quality of interpersonal relationships and family life. This study investigated the development of avoidant personality from childhood to adulthood and the marital interaction pathology of the men with avoidant personality disorder from their wives' perspectives. The development of this personality style was studied through studying related resources. To study the personality traits of these men in marital interactions semi-structured interviews were conducted with 9 women whose husbands had avoidant personality traits and who were selected by purposeful sampling. In analyzing data using thematic analysis, 14 characteristics were obtained which showed these men's characteristics in marital interactions. They included "withdrawal, insight without pondering, self-centeredness, poor self-concept, social phobia, talking inactivity, emotionally cold homes, behavioral passivity, sexual passivity, change aversion, marital burnout, compulsive perfectionism, passive-aggressive, sociable appearance". Since avoidant personality characteristics are both harmful to self and others, identifying and preventing the development of the disorder in children will promote the quality of interpersonal relationships and family life.
