The purpose of this study was to investigate effectiveness of mindfulness-based techniques on psychological distress (stress, anxiety and depression) of mothers of child with special learning disability. The research method was semi-experimental with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population of study included mothers of students of learning disability centers in Ardabil city in the year of 2018, That among them by using available method, 40 mothers were selected and randomly assigned to the experimental group (20 individuals) and control group (20 individuals). The experimental group had received 8 sessions of mindfulness-based techniques. Stress, anxiety and depression questionnaire (DASS) used to data gathering. Data were analyzed by multivariate covariance statistical method. Findings indicated that the research hypothesis of effect of mindfulness-based techniques on psychological distress (stress, anxiety and depression) of mothers of child with special learning disability had been proven and mothers of experimental group in comparison with control group, in posttest had a significantly less psychological distress (stress, anxiety and depression). So, we can conclude that mindfulness-based techniques Training has a significant effect on psychological distress (stress, anxiety and depression) of mothers of child with special learning disability.

This study was performed aimed to investigate the role of worry, hope and meaning of life in predicting mental health of mothers whose children were mentally disabled. The study method was descriptive and correlational. all the mothers with mental-disabled children under rehabilitation centers of welfare organization in the city of Ardabil in 2015-2016 formed the population of this study that Among them using available sampling method, 130 mothers were selected and responded to Pennsylvania worry questionnaire, Schneider adult hope questionnaire, Grumbaugh and Maholick purpose in life questionnaire and Goldberg and Hiller general health questionnaire. To analyze the data, tests of Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were used. Results showed that there is a negative significant relationship between worry and its components with mental health of mothers with mental-disabled children and also there is a positive significant relationship between hope and meaning of life with mental health of mothers whose children were mentally disabled (p<0.01). Also, Results of regression analysis revealed that 0.58 percent of the total mental health variance of women with mental- disabled children was predictable based on variables of worry, hope and meaning of life. Therefore, it can be concluded that the worry, hope and meaning of life are the related variables with the mental health of mothers whose children were mentally disabled. So it can be concluded that worry, hope and meaning of life are the variables that associated with mental health of mothers whose children were mentally disabled which need planning.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of group hope therapy on life satisfaction of physical-motor disable men's. The research method was experimental with pretest-posttest control group. The statistical population of study included all the physical-motor disable men's under welfare organization of Kamyaran city in 2015-2016 year, That among them by using available sampling, 30 men’s were selected, and randomly assigned in experimental (15 individuals) and control (15 individuals) groups. The experimental group had received 8 sessions of hope therapy. To collect data on life satisfaction questionnaire (1985) was used. Data were analyzed by covariance statistical method. Findings indicated that the research hypothesis effect of hope therapy on life satisfaction of physical-motor disable men's had been proven and physical-motor disable men's of experimental group in comparison with control group, in posttest had a significantly high life satisfaction. So, we can conclude that hope therapy has a significant effect on increase of life satisfaction of physical-motor disable men's. So the method used in this study is an appropriate method for psycho-educational interventions, counseling in men treated with physical-motor disability.

The purpose of this study is to comparesigns of anxiety and depression in draw a person test in mentally retarded andnormal students. In this descriptive research, the statistical population consistsof all 11 year-old educable mentally retarded and normal students of Shahriyarcity in the academic year of 2011-2012. 33 educable mentally retarded students areselected through convenient sampling and 33 normal students were selectedusing cluster random sampling. Draw a person test (DAP) is used to collectinformation. The data re analyzed using Mann-Whitney test. The results show that there is significantdifference in the rate of anxiety and depression between educable mentallyretarded and normal students reflected in their drawings. This means thateducable mentally retarded students had shown greater measures of anxiety anddepression in their drawings
