The aim of the present study was to investigate the mediating role of perceived social support and vitality in the relationship between psychological capital and life expectancy in women with mentally-motor disabled children in Neishabur city. The present research method is descriptive and correlation type. The research population was all women with mentally and physically disabled children in Neishabur city in 2021 then 205 of whom were available as a statistical sample. To collect data, Zimet et al.'s perceived social support (1988), Snyder et al.'s life expectancy questionnaire (1991), Lutans psychological capital questionnaire (2007), and Ryan and Frederick's vitality questionnaire (1997) were used. Pearson's correlation test and path analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed that psychological capital had a direct effect on life expectancy (0.89) and indirectly through social support on life expectancy (0.04) (p-value <0.01). Also, the results indicated that vitality did not play a mediating role in the relationship between psychological capital and life expectancy in women with mentally-motor disabled children (p-value<0.05). Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that the relationship between psychological capital and life expectancy of women with mentally-motor disabled children is not a simple linear relationship and social support can mediate this relationship.

Autism spectrum disorder is a type of neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent impairment in social interactions and communication as well as repetitive and specific behaviors. The purpose of this study was to compare of the effectiveness of stress management and social support perception training based on cognitive-behavioral manner on quality of life of mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder. The research method was experimental with pretest, posttest and follow up design. First, the subjects were screened for inclusion criteria, then 30 mothers with children with autism spectrum disorder were selected and after being matched, they were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (10 person in each group). Mothers in the two groups, stress management and social support perception management, received 8 sessions of 90 minutes of intervention and the control group received no intervention. The research instrument, including WHO Quality of Life Questionnaire (1996), was administered to the subjects in all three stages. Data analysis using statistical method of repeated measures analysis of variance, showed that training of social support perception, improves component of social relations (P<0.001), and training of stress management, improves component of physical health (P<0.001), more than other components of quality of life of mothers. Based on the findings, it is suggested that support programs be implemented in community mental health organizations to develop training packages and implement guidelines related to empowering parents with children with autism spectrum disorder.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship resiliency and perceived social support with adjustment of mothers with intellectually disable child. The method of this study is correlational. Statistical population of this study comprised of all mothers with intellectually disable child in Rasht city. From among this population, 150 mothers were selected as sample by using available sampling method. The used tools were Connor-Davidson Resiliency questionnaire, Perceived Social Support Scale and Bell's Adjustment Scale. Data analysis was performed through Pearson’s correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The findings proved that there is a positive significant correlation between resiliency and perceived social support with the adjustment of mothers with intellectually disable child (p<0/01). The results of regression analysis also revealed that%24 of the total variance of adjustment can be explained by resiliency and perceived social support. Therefore, it can be concluded that the lack of resilience and perceived social support may be taken into account as one of the important factors leading to nonadjustment of mothers with intellectually disable child.
