The present study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the psychometric properties of the anxiety scale of children with autism spectrum disorder (parent form). The method of the current research was a correlational description. The statistical population of the present study was all children with autism spectrum disorder in Tehran city who were referred to autism education and rehabilitation centers in 2022. 315 children (193 boys and 122 girls) were selected using available sampling method. After translating and obtaining the opinions of experts and subjects, the face validity of the scale was confirmed. AMOS and SPSS software were used for statistical analysis. The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that in the sample of Iranian children with autism spectrum disorder, the four-factor structure of the scale including performance anxiety, anxiety arousal, separation anxiety and uncertainty had a good fit with the data. The results related to the correlation between this scale and the Spence anxiety scale experimentally supported the convergent validity of the anxiety scale of children with autism spectrum disorder. The internal consistency coefficients of the whole scale and subscales of functional anxiety, anxiety arousal, separation anxiety and uncertainty were obtained as 0.79, 0.78, 0.81, 0.76 and 0.82, respectively. Overall, the results of the present study showed that the anxiety scale of children with autism spectrum disorder is a valid and reliable tool for measuring anxiety in Iranian children with autism spectrum disorder. This tool can be used to measure anxiety in Research and treatment sections.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness group therapy based on stress reduction on anxiety and depression in patients with MS in Bojnourd Methods: Samples were selected by simple random sampling (n = 22) and then randomly divided into an experimental group (11 subjects in the stress awareness-based mindfulness group) and a control group (n = 11). Beck Anxiety Inventory and Beck Depression Inventory were used in the pre-test. In the next step, mindfulness based on stress reduction was administered to the experimental group for 8 sessions once a week for two hours and the control group did not receive any intervention. Then the post-test was completed for both groups and the necessary data were collected and analyzed using covariance analysis. Results: The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the group of mindfulness-based stress therapy and the control group in the variables of anxiety and depression. Conclusion: Considering the findings, more attention should be paid to stress-reduction mindfulness intervention in order to reduce the level of anxiety and depression in MS patients.

Aim: The current research aim is studying the relationship between disordered eating behavior (DEB) with early maladaptive schemas(EMS) and anxiety in adolescent female students in Shiraz .Method: The method of present research is descriptive correlation. For this purpose, 190 female students of one to third year of high school of Shiraz selected by cluster sampling method and complete questionnaires. Young's schema Questionnaire short form (SQ-SF), Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) Garner and Garfinkel (1979) and Depression, anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS) were used was utilized to evaluate early maladaptive schemas, disordered eating behavior and anxiety, respectively. Data analyzed through the SPSS21 software. Result: Pearson's correlation coefficient showed that a significant correlation between most domains of area early maladaptive schemas (EMS) with disordered eating behavior (DEB). Also anxiety has significant correlation with disordered eating behavior (DEB). Stepwise regression Indicated impaired autonomy and performance (P<0/01& =β 0/48), disconnection and rejection (P<0/01& =β 0/32), impaired limits (P<0/01& =β 0/29) and anxiety (P<0/01& =β 0/15) explain significant variance of disordered eating behavior (DEB). Conclusion: According to significant role of early maladaptive schemas and anxiety in explains variance of disordered eating behavior in adolescent females, correction of maladaptive schemas and reduction of anxiety can be effective in reducing eating problems.

The purpose of this study is to comparesigns of anxiety and depression in draw a person test in mentally retarded andnormal students. In this descriptive research, the statistical population consistsof all 11 year-old educable mentally retarded and normal students of Shahriyarcity in the academic year of 2011-2012. 33 educable mentally retarded students areselected through convenient sampling and 33 normal students were selectedusing cluster random sampling. Draw a person test (DAP) is used to collectinformation. The data re analyzed using Mann-Whitney test. The results show that there is significantdifference in the rate of anxiety and depression between educable mentallyretarded and normal students reflected in their drawings. This means thateducable mentally retarded students had shown greater measures of anxiety anddepression in their drawings

The purpose of this study is to examine andpredict factors related to anxiety of mothers with exceptional children inJiroft city in 2011. In this applied and correlative research, the statisticalpopulation includes all the mothers of mentally retarded, deaf and blindchildren who are being educated in schools special for exceptional children inJiroft. The sample consists of 60 mothers of exceptional children who areselected by random sampling. The answers given to Beck anxiety and theresearcher-made questionnaires are analyzed by using correlation coefficientand multiple regression method. Analysis of the data reveal that there is asignificant correlation between the mother’s anxiety and the knowledge ofmothers about how to raise and treat exceptional children, the sociallimitations of mothers, the root cause of disability of the exceptional child, the effect of the child’s disability on family relationships, sense of responsibilityof mothers, and the father’s presence. In addition, the result of this studyshow there are factors that increase the mothers’ anxiety
