The aim of this study was to investigate the profile analysis of memory and attention functioning in children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorder and Comorbid Condition. The descriptive and causal-comparative method was used for this research. Thirty students with ADHD, 30 students with an SLD, 30 children with the comorbid condition (ADHD + SLD) were selected by the convenience sampling method after diagnosis and evaluation with regard to the working memory and attention functioning in them. The MANOVA and post hoc Cheffe test were used to analyze the collected data. Furthermore, the profile functioning of the four groups in the working memory and attention was presented in a graph. The results of the study showed significant differences between normal children and children with ADHD, children with SLD, and children with the comorbid condition in terms of working memory and attention (p<01). Also, the ADHD group showed the weakest functioning regarding attention, and the weakest function regarding working memory was reported for the SLD group. Additionally, Paired comparison was done for each of the four groups. According to these findings, it can be concluded that comorbidity of these two disorders has a negative effect on working memory. Though, the comorbid condition can play a moderating role in the functioning of attention.

The purpose of this study was to compare the process of developing the moral reasoning of blind and visually impaired students aged 11 to 18 years old in Tehran. The research method was descriptive of causal-comparative type. The statistical society included all blind and sighted students aged 11 to 18 years in Tehran who were studying in ordinary schools and schools for the blind in the academic year 1995-96. Of these, a sample of 120 people (60 blind and 60 sighted) was selected. The blind group was selected using sampling method and Bina group was selected by multi-stage random sampling method. Moral reasoning test was used to collect data. To analyze the data, independent t-test was used. The results of the data analysis showed that there is a significant difference between the growth of moral reasoning for blind and intermediate students aged 11-14 years in Tehran (p <0.05), but there was no significant difference between the ages of 15 and 18 years (05 / 0 <p). Given the lower ethical reasoning at the age of 11-14, it is suggested that interventions and effective studies be conducted.

The purpose of this study was to compare parenting styles and the quality of subject relations in mothers with children with normal and anxiety disorder. The research method is descriptive of causal-comparative type. The statistical population of the study consisted of mothers of children with separation anxiety disorder referring to counseling centers and mothers of normal children in Tehran. Sixty individuals (30 people per group) were selected using available sampling method. The research tools included parenting styles questionnaire (Robinson et al., 1995) and thematic relationships (Bell, Bilington and Baker, 1985). Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance and independent t-test. The results showed that there is a significant difference between parenting styles and the quality of maternal relationships between children with anxiety disorder and normal children's mothers (p

One of the disabilities in childhood and adolescence is a Oppositional Defiant Disorder that is the common cause of referring children to psychiatric clinics and counseling. Various therapeutic approaches have been used to improve the symptoms of this disorder. One of the interventions in this area is the Adler and Glasser therapies. The purpose of the present study was to introduce the nature, characteristics, and research evidence about the effectiveness of Adler-Glaser's approach to coping disordered disorder. In the present study, through systematic review of research and the search for specialized keywords related to Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Adler and Glasser's approach in specialized databases of Iran and the world between 1985 and 2017, the findings and the information sought to achieve The purpose of the research was analyzed. For this purpose, the Google Scholar, ERIC, Science Direct and Pubmed databases were extracted and analyzed. Also, some Persian sources used in this field were used. The review of the literature suggests the effectiveness of Adler-Glaser's approach to the symptoms of disobedience disorder. Based on Adler-Glaser's approach, they are not disorderly disordered disorder, but they are discouraged and their five needs have not been answered. Therefore, by understanding the purpose of behavior and promoting social interest in people with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, they reduced the symptoms of this disorder.

This research was carried out to develop the educational program of inhibited response, sustained attention, updating, and to examine its impact on attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder in children. Methodology: The method of research is experimental with pre-test and post-test and follow-up design. The population of research included all children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder in schools of district 1 , district 4 and psychology clinic of Tehran (district 3) in the academic year 2016-2017. After selecting 30 subjects who met the inclusion criteria of study as the sample of study, 15 of children were assigned to experimental group and 15 children were assigned to control group using random method. To examine attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, diagnostic questionnaire of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder was used, and for evaluating executive functions of children, N Beck test, CPT and go-no-go test were used. This program was developed by researchers and children of experimental group participated in this 16-session program , and control group children received no education. findings obtained from covariance analysis and t-test revealed significant difference between mean scores of experimental group and control group in the attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder symptoms. it can be concluded that educational program of inhibited response, sustained attention, updating decreased the symptoms of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder in experimental group children

This study aimed to develop a Response-to-Intervention (RtI) program in order to enhance spelling skill and to examine its effectiveness for third-grade students with spelling problems. The study was conducted in two stages including program development and utilizing evaluation a single-system design (AB). The study population consisted of third-grade students from the city of Karaj in the school year of 2015-216. Twenty students were selected as the sample using targeted sampling method. These students were incorporated in a three-tiered intervention based on response-to-intervention model (first tier included groups of five in nine 30-minute sessions, second tier consisting of groups of three in nine 45-minute sessions and the third tier including 12 individual one-hour sessions) and were trained for the developed program which was tailored for response-to-intervention model using direct instruction method. Measuring tools were the spelling test of Rezaei & Karimi (2013). According to the results of ICC, the developed program’s validity is 0.36, which is a good validity for implementation considering that P

The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of environmental variables (parent-child relationship), locus of control, and academic performance to explain the depression of the children with ADHD. After screening the fifth grade elementary school students by Conner's teacher rating scale, throughDiagnostic Interview Schedule for Children (according to DSM-IV), 113 children were selected as the clinical group. Behavioral management and parenting stress scales as ADHD symptoms indicators were given to mothers, and academic performance test, parent-child relationship questionnaire, locus of control and depression scale were administrated on the children. Pearson correlation coefficientsindicated positive relationships between depression with inattention dimension. There was also a significant relationship between the three mediating variables with depression and inattention dimension of ADHD. Structural equation modeling indicated the importance of parent-child relationship as a mediator variable for inattention-depression relationship. Academic achievement and locus of control couldn’t beeffective mediators in this model. Results of the current study implied the importance of parent-child relationship in ADHD children's depression. This result should be more considered in counselingwith these children.
