The purpose of this research was to systematic examination and present a meta-combination of the research related to the third kind of socio-emotional learning for elementary students with a specific learning disability. The study was qualitative using a meta-combination with synthesis study approach. The needed data were collected through a search of keywords of socio-emotional learning, specific learning disability, a neuro-developmental disorder in the library resources, theses, and the articles existing in the databases of ERIC, Google Scholars, PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, Springer, Magiran, Irandoc during 1990-2021. In order to search for the information in the Iranian and foreign databases was used both in separation and in combination. The theoretical bases and the main and combination concepts were extracted, and the concept was analyzed and classified. The results of the examination and analysis of the studies and research showed that the intervention program of the third kind of socio-emotional learning was effective in the fields of psychological problems and disorders. The findings of this research by identifying the nature of the intervention program of the third kind of socio-emotional learning show that regarding the existing theoretical and experimental, this idea could be proposed as an instructional package for the students with a specific learning disability.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder leads to mental, behavioral, and emotional damage to the infected children. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the efficacy of parents’ behavioral training model (Barkley) on the emotional regulation of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The present study was experimental with pretest, posttest, and control group design. The statistical population of the study included male children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in the city of Yazd in the autumn and winter of 2018-19. In this study, the sample size was 30 people (15 people in the experimental group and 15 people in the control group) but after the intervention of 2 parents in the experimental group and 2 parents in the control group, they refused to continue the intervention. The parents of the children in the experimental group received eight seventy-five-minute intervention sessions of the parents’ behavioral training model (Barkley) for one month. The applied questionnaires in this study included the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder questionnaire (Brock, Clinton, 2007) and the emotional regulation questionnaire (Shields & Cicchetti, 1997). The data of 26 parents were analyzed by the ANCOVA method using SPSS-23 software. The results showed that the parents’ behavioral training model (Barkley) has a significant effect on the emotional regulation of the children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (p<0.001). According to the findings of the present study, it can be concluded that the parents’ behavioral training model (Barkley) can be sued as an efficient method to increase emotional regulation in the children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder by employing training appropriate methods to decrease the children’s abnormal behavior, the skill of showing positive attention to the children, methods of making positive interaction and managing inappropriate behaviors and the skills of positive attention.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of art therapy on social-communication skills, emotional regulation and behavioral flexibility in children with autism spectrum disorder. This research was quasi-experimental and it's plan was pre-test, post-test and follow-up two months with the control group. The statistical population included 6-12 years old children with autism spectrum disorder in Zanjan. The sample consisted of 26 children who were selected by the available sampling method and then randomly assigned into two experimental and control groups (each group was 13). The instrument of research was questionnaire of Autism Social Skills Profile_ Scott Bellini's, the Emotion Regulation Checklist- Shields & Cicchetti, and the Gilliam Autism Rating Scale-Second Edition rating scale. The experimental group perch on art therapy interventation during 44 session for 4 months that extracted from art therapy program for children and adolescents with autism by Jennifer Beth Silvers (2008). In addition to descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, the repeated measure anova were used to analyze the data. Data analysis showed that art therapy had a good effect on social-communication skills and it's components, the components of emotional regulation and instability/negativity and also behavioral flexibility, means that the intervention program improved social communication, emotion regulation and behavioral flexibility. So according to the findings of this research, art therapy as a complementary therapeutic approach can be used to improve social-communication skills, emotion regulation and behavioral flexibility in children with autism spectrum disorder.
