The aim of this study was to design a questionnaire for learning disability (parent-child assessment) in preschool students. The Learning Disability Questionnaire consists of two parts: perception (visual and auditory). The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by psychology professors and then it was performed on a sample of 294 preschool students. The questions were analyzed by appropriate statistical methods and the validity and reliability of the questionnaire were determined. According to the calculations, the internal consistency coefficient in the auditory perception factor is 0.83, and the visual is 0.86. An independent t-test was used to evaluate the differential validity. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the scores of deficient and normal students. We used the learning disability test to assess concurrent validity. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the two variables of the Learning Disability Questionnaire (Parent Assessment of Preschool Child) and the Special Learning Disability Test for Children. Depending on the obtained reliability and validity, this test can be used as a tool to assess and detect early learning disabilities of preschool students.

The present study was conducted by a post-event method to investigate the relationship between psychological capital and quality of life in school with regard to the type of schools studied. The statistical population of the study is the second-year high school students of Sanandaj who had registered in the academic year 2018-2019. Estimation of sample size using Cochran's formula for the community of gifted students was equal to 118 and for normal students was equal to 137 people who were selected by cluster sampling. The Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ) and Quality of Life Questionnaire at Ainley & Bourke School (1992) were used to collect data. The results of the independent group t-test and multivariate analysis of variance showed that there is no significant difference between gifted and normal students on the whole scale of psychological capital, but there is a significant difference in terms of the hope component. There was also a significant difference between gifted and normal school students in the whole scale of school quality of life and opportunity subcomponent. Also, based on the calculated beta coefficients, it can be concluded that the relationship between the whole scale of psychological capital and the hope component with the quality of school life is stronger among students of ordinary schools than in gifted schools.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of combining education with the help of video training through WhatsApp to improve the fluent reading of students with learning disabilities. For this purpose, 3 boys from the primary school in Marivan who were referred to the Learning Disabilities Center by the schools were diagnosed as dyslexic using the Wechsler test and Fallahchai dyslexia test (1374) and selected by the available sampling method. They were trained through WhatsApp in a one-test method and multi-baseline design using different people in 30 sessions of 35 minutes. In order to collect information, the graph analysis method and effect size index were used. Findings showed that the use of a combined method with the use of online education (WhatsApp) is effective in improving the fluent reading of these students. Conclusion: The increasing use of online education and technologies such as mobile phones and their applications in improving the quality of treatment for learning disabilities can provide effective assistance to these students.

The aim of this study was to develop and validate a package of empowerment of pre-verbal (communication) skills for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, especially children with autism. This research was done descriptively-analytically. This research method had two parts: qualitative research and quantitative research. In the qualitative research section, the inductive qualitative content analysis method has been used. To analyze the qualitative content, a systematic search of articles, dissertations, and books related to the field of pre-verbal skills of children with autism spectrum disorder was used. Also, the face and content validity methods were used to check the validity of the developed package. Finally, the results of all content analyses performed on sources and components derived from them were presented in the form of a pre-verbal skills empowerment package. The results of content validity based on the opinions of 12 experts in this field showed that the designed package has good content validity (0.83). Therefore, it can be concluded that the pre-communication (verbal) skills empowerment package designed has the necessary formal and content validity and can be used in educational and clinical contexts.

Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between communication skills with cognitive abilities, problem-solving, and psychological well-being and the mediating role of mindfulness in these relationships as a model for mothers of students with autism spectrum disorders. Method: For this purpose, applied research of descriptive-correlation type with structural equation design was conducted. The study population consisted of 571 mothers whose children with autism spectrum disorders were studying in special schools for autism (11 schools) and schools for autism spectrum disorders (5 schools) in Tehran and were responsible for the birth and maintenance of their children. Among the above schools, 7 schools were selected by random cluster sampling method and the mothers of all students with autism spectrum disorders in these schools, whose number was 230, were considered as a sample group and were given the Cognitive Abilities Questionnaire of Nejati (1392), problem-solving style of Cassidy & Lang (1996), psychological wellbeing of Ryff (1989), communication skills of Queen Dam (2004), and mindfulness of Brown & Ryan (2003). Results: The results of data analysis using the structural equation statistical method showed that the research model has a good fit. In addition, communication skills, both directly and indirectly through mindfulness, have a positive and significant relationship with the cognitive abilities, problem-solving, and psychological wellbeing of mothers of students with autism spectrum disorders (P <0.05).

The aim of this study was to compare marital satisfaction, parental alliance, and parental burnout in fathers and mothers having a child(ren) with and without visual impairment. The method of the study was descriptive and expo facto. The study population consisted of four groups of parents having children without and with visual impairment (parents having one child, two children, and more than two children with VI) living in different cities of Iran. Among them, a sample of 506 people (including 297 mothers and 209 fathers) participated voluntarily in the study through convenient sampling. The measurements included the Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale (Nichols et al., 1983), the Parental Alliance Scale (Abidin, & Brunner, 1995), and the Parental Burnout Assessment (Roskam et al., 2018). The results showed that parents having more than two children with VI had higher scores on parental burnout and lower scores on marital satisfaction and parental alliance compared to the other three groups (p < .001). The results of the MANOVA test showed that the four groups were significantly different in all dimensions of parental burnout (p < .001), also, the fathers obtained higher scores in marital satisfaction (p < .04). The extent of visual impairment of the child(ren) can disrupt the relationship between children and parents with themselves and with each other by negatively affecting marital and parental outcomes.

Purpose: Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder whose sufferers have three main characteristics: socialization disorder, impaired verbal and nonverbal communication, and limited and repetitive patterns of behavior. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotion regulation on hope and the empathetic relationship between mothers with autistic children. Materials: The research method was descriptive-correlational and the research population included all mothers with autistic children in District 5 of Tehran, who were referred to counseling centers. Using the available sampling method and according to the number of variables and components, 230 people were selected as the sample group. Research tools for data collection included Gross Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (2003), Schneider Hope Questionnaire (1991), and Davis Empathy Communication Questionnaire (1983). Results: The results of data analysis showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotion regulation and hope (p<0.05). Also, the results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotion regulation and empathetic relationship (p<0.05). Discussion and conclusion: finally based on the results of regression analysis, the components of hope and empathetic communication were predicted based on the components of regulation. According to the findings, mothers with autistic children have a positive relationship with each other in the components of emotion regulation and hope, and empathetic communication.
