Objective: The present study aims to acquire more specific information concerning the prediction of creativity in gifted students on the basis of their age, intelligence quotient (IQ), and their parental marital satisfaction. Method: This is a correlation study. The statistical population was the total of all gifted high school students of both special education and regular schools in Tehran, whose intelligence quotients were higher than 120.The sample size consisted of 164male and 166 female students, The sample wa selected through a cluster random sampling.. Raven’s Progressive Matrices Test (IQ) (Raven, 1941), and Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT) (figural form) (Torrance, 2002) were administered among the students and Afrooz Marital Satisfaction Scale (AMSS) (1390) was completed with the student’s parents. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and analysis of variance. Results: The results showed that parental marital satisfaction was an important and significant predictor of children’s creativity. Also, IQ and age were second and third significant predictors of creativity. Conclusion and recommendations: Results indicated that high martial satisfaction of parents and intelligence were good backgrounds for the development and nurturance of creativity in children.

Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes of parents and teachers about educational placement of gifted students. Method: The present study is an applied research and is undertaken by survey method. The statistical population of this research includes the total number of parents and teachers of gifted students studying in Rasht city in 2010-2011 and the sample size was the same as the population (64 teachers and 96 parents) . The Attitudes Assessment of Parents and Teachers of gifted student's inventory was used for collecting the data. Frequency and percentage was used for the descriptive data and analysis of data was accomplished by utilizing kallmogrof-smirenof and independent T test. Results: The results indicated that both parents and teachers have negative attitudes about integration and positive attitudes towards segregation of gifted students. Actually both parents and teachers prefer the segregation placement for gifted students. Conclusion and Recommendations: The suggestion is that the ministry of education should collaborate with academic experts to design and implement workshops about integrated education for parents and teachers of all types of students, such as gifted students, and also students with intellectual disabilities to increase their knowledge about integrated education and the benefits of this system. In order to change the negative attitudes of parents and teachers about integrated education. Upon these attitude changes their support can be gained for promoting this educational system.

Objective: The aim of this research was to assess the levels of reading literacy perception in 4th grade primary school students with visual impairment and comparing it with normal peer students. Methods: The current research was a survey study and was performed by the use of PIRLS (2006) international standardized booklets as instrument. Twenty seven 4th graders of three primary exceptional schools in three different cities ( Tehran, Rey and Qom) were selected by means of non-convenient sampling and compared with the equal size of students of matched adjacent normal schools. The independent t-student test was used for the statistical analysis. Results: There were significant differences in the levels of interpretation and modulation of data and ideas between students with visual impairment and normal sighted students, but there wasn't any significant difference in other reading literacy perception levels (p<0.05). Conclusion and recommendations: It is necessary to pay special attention to students with visual impairments and review their reading programs both in normal schools and also in the visual impairment specific schools. It is recommended that teachers and authorities provide more texts in brail for blind children and in addition to early intervention to educate and provide facilities, helping them to achieve deeper levels of reading literacy perception.

Objective: The basic aim of this study was to compare the attribution style of blind and normal students. Method: The statistical population of the study were all the students of normal, exceptional and compilation academies of the academic year 2010-2011 .,The sample included 36 male students (18 blind and 18 normal sighted),who were selected by simple random sampling. In order to gather the data the Attribution Style Questionnaire (ASQ) was completed with the sample. .The data was analyzed with multivariate variance analysis. Results: The results showed that there is a significant difference between the attribution styles of blind and normal sighted students. Conclusion & recommendations: It is noteworthy to add that, the significant difference between the blind and the normal sighted students applies to all components including internal- external, Stable- Unstable and limited - totality elements of attribution styles and this must be taken into account in understanding the differences.

Objective: The objective of this study was to assess the effects of ABA treatment on the performance of Hamadan autistic children. Method: An applied research with an experimental design has been used. All the autistic children of Farshchian therapy center of Hamadan were treated. To collect data a questionnaire containing questions covering data for the general profile of respondents and also psychological data (general knowledge, attention, imitation and self-help), was applied both as pre-and post-test. The data was analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance and repeated measures. Dependent variables were analyzed using an alpha level of Ben Frony (0125 / 0) Results: showed significant differences between groups in terms of the variables (general knowledge, attention, imitation and self-help).Test results of repeated measurements for experimental and control groups in comparison to pre-test scores, was significant.

Objective:This research, investigates the prevalence of ADHD and it's subtypes among university students of Markazi province in 1389-90. Method:The method of this research was descriptive. The sample included 1773 university students (582 females,1191 males)that were selected from the population of all university students of Markazi province by implementing a random cluster sampling. The Wender Utah Rating Scale (WURS-1993)and the diagnostic Scale of Mirieskandari Revision (2008) were completed by participants. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and z test by SPSS software. Result:Results showed that the total prevalence of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder according to WURS was 6.6% in the childhood of students and was 7.3% in their adulthood. Also the prevalence of attention-deficit,hyperactivity- impulsivity and combined type were 5.3% and 7.3%respectively.The prevalence of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder in childhood of female students was 4.1% and in male students was 7.8%,but there was not any difference between prevalence of ADHD in adulthood between femaleand male students. Furthermore records of drop-outs,fails, psychiatric disorders and use of psychiatric drugs were more in students with ADHD. Conclusion and recommendations: These findings stress that the prevalence of ADHD is considerably high in students. In addition it revealed the importance of prevention, management and therapy of this disorder through benefiting from psychological and counseling services. This result could be beneficial for planning, budgeting, educational and therapy strategies. Making psychological and counseling services accessible in universities could prevent negative consequences of this disorder in educational and professional life.

Objective: The aim of the current research was to investigate the effectiveness of precision teaching on reading ability of students with learning disability. Method: The research method was semi- experimental with pretest – posttest design. Statistical population consisted of all the 3 rd grade elementary girl students with learning disability in city of Isfahan during 1389-1390 academic years. The sample consisted of 30 students with reading disability that were selected via Targeted sampling method and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. (15 experimental group and 15 controls). Research tool was a third grade reading test. Data obtained was analyzed by analysis of Covariance. Results: The results showed that the precision teaching is effective on reading ability. Conclusion and recommendations: Paying attention to precision teaching as a reading ability fundamental skill can be an effective approach in treatment of learning disability disorder.
