Children with diabetes experience debilitating conditions that threaten the mental health of a child with diabetes. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of interactive education based on new media on the psychological well-being of diabetic children. This study was a quasi-experimental method of pretest-posttest with a control group. The statistical population of this study included all children with diabetes referred to Gabrik Medical Center and Diabetes Clinics in Tehran in 2009-2010. A sample of this population consisted of 44 people (24 in the experimental group and 19 in the control group) with Using the sampling method, they were selected voluntarily and placed in the experimental and control groups. The educational model was performed for the children of the experimental group for 6 sessions after the pre-test. The control group did not receive any special psychological training. The collected data were analyzed using analysis of covariance. The results showed that the model of interactive education based on new media has a significant effect on the psychological well-being of diabetic children (p <0.05). Based on the obtained results, it can be concluded that the interactive education model based on new media can be used as an intervention method for children with diabetes along with drug therapy.

The comorbidity of neurodevelopmental disorders regarding deafness has been confirmed in several studies, which further emphasizes the necessity of paying more attention to diagnostic and rehabilitation approaches in this field. The primary objective of the present study was to provide a systematic review of neurodevelopmental disorders which are associated with deafness in children. The present review study was conducted and obtained through comprehensive search and utilizing keywords including: deafness, comorbid disorder, neurodevelopmental disorder, and hearing impairment in Web of Science, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect databases that had been published between 2009 and 2019. Ultimately, 23 scientific papers were chosen in accordance with the primary objective of the research project and the inclusion criteria & research findings were then extracted. Out of the 24 chosen papers, 13 papers (56.52%) had focused on etiology and the prevalence of disorders, 7 papers (30.43%) had focused on evaluation, 3 papers (13.04%) had focused on rehabilitation and intervention. A. Bearing in mind that comorbid disorders affect the effectiveness of intervention programs and treatments such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, and rehabilitation, it is considered essential to pay close attention to expert evaluations and experts' knowledge & awareness regarding the early diagnosis of comorbid disorders which are associated with deafness

Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that manifests in early childhood. Previous studies have shown that physical activity can be used to improve the behavioral and physical problems of children with autism spectrum disorder, but few studies have been done on the effect of martial arts training on improving balance in autism spectrum disorders. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the effect of karate techniques exercises on balance and stereotypic behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test with control group. For this purpose, 20 autistic children with mean age of 10.90 ± 2.91 years were selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group practiced kata techniques training for 10 weeks, 2 sessions of 60 minutes per week. Before and after the 10-week intervention, stereotypical behaviors questionnaire and static and dynamic balance test were completed and administered. Shapiro–Wilks test was used to determine the normality of the data, and covariance analysis was used to compare the mean of the two groups before and after the intervention. The results showed that ten weeks of karate technique training had a significant effect on stereotyped behaviors (p <0.001), but it did not significantly improve static and dynamic balance indices in these children. Due to the similarity of stereotypes in autism and no need cognition, kata techniques exercise can be a valuable intervention added to autism spectrum children's programs to reduce stereotyped behaviors.

Motor Imagery provides a special context for representation of movements. This feature has been investigated in typical developing children in several studies, but there is little information in the field of motor imagery in children with autism. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate this component in children with autism spectrum disorder aged 8 to 12 years compared to typical developing peers. 40 ASD children and 40 TD children who were age and IQ matched, purposefully and available selected and participated in the research voluntarily. To investigate motor imagery, the hand rotation paradigm in 3D software was used. The task involves two blocks of 12 hand-pattern which rotates randomly three times at six angles. The reaction time and error numbers were recorded as the performance scores of each subject. In order to analyze the data, two analysis of variance tests were used to evaluate and compare the reaction times and the U-man Whitney test used for the number of errors separately for back and palm view of hand. The findings confirmed that children with autism are able to use this feature same TD, although this operation is less accurate and longer. So that in the reaction time and the number of error variables, the ASD group performed worse than TD peers. Although the disorder may effect on cognitive function underlying motor behaviors in these children, nevertheless the capacity required to learn and develop motor skills in these children is developed, usable, and exploitable.

The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of parenting based on organizational skills and mindful parenting on parent-child relationships and symptoms of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This was a quasi-experimental research with pretest, posttest and follow up. The study population consisted of all children aged 8-10 years with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in Isfahan who were educated in Isfahan public schools in 2019-2020. In this study participated 45 male children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder that diagnosed on the basis of the Child Psychiatry and Fourth edition of Swanson-Nolan and Pelham Scale. In an experimental group, 11 sessions of parenting based on organizational skills and another experimental group 8 sessions of mindful parenting were conducted. The participants answered to Fourth edition of Swanson-Nolan and Pelham Scale(SNAP-IV) and parent-child relationships scale(CPRS) in three stages. Data were analyzed using repeated measures. Mindful parenting compared parenting based on organizational skills significant effect on parent-child relationships in the post-test and in the follow-up stage also remains(p≤05). Parenting based on organizational skills improved attention deficit and total attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder in the post-test and the effects have been significant and the effect on follow-up stage also remains(p≤05). But parenting based on organizational skills did not have a significant effect on symptoms of hyperactivity/ impulsivity(P≥0.05). This study provides promising results in improving parent-child relationships and reducing the symptoms of children with attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder by educating mindful parenting and parenting based on organizational skills as an intervention.

Autism spectrum disorder is a complex developmental condition that is associated with ongoing challenges in the child's social interaction, speech, and nonverbal communication, and affects mother-child interaction. The purpose of this study was to investigate the lived experience of mothers’s children with autism spectrum disorder. The research method was qualitative with a descriptive phenomenological approach. The population included mothers of children with autism who had been referred to the Autism Association of Iran (in Tehran) in 1398. The sample was selected by the purposeful method and 8 mothers were examined until saturation was achieved. Data were collected by the semi-structured interview method and analyzed by Colaizzi’s seven-step method. Findings from the lived experience of mothers of children with autism were summarized in 4 main themes including the expression of conflicting emotions (positive and negative), weak psychological capital, limitations in social support networks, and effects and consequences. Also, several other sub-themes were identified. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of providing appropriate social support services for mothers of children with an autism spectrum disorder. The results of this study emphasize the importance of providing appropriate social support services for mothers with children with an autism spectrum disorder. It is also recommended that psychologists and counselors focus on promoting psychological capital to improve quality of life for mothers with children with an autism spectrum disorder.

The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of dore method and combined method (direct instruction and phonological awareness) on the symptoms of dyslexia. The method of the present study was semi-experimental pre-test-post-test with control group. The population included all students of elementary school of UROMIA (2018-2019) with dyslexia who referred to the learning problems center and 45 students were randomly divided into two experimental groups and one control. For one group, dore method and for the other group, the combined method was performed for 20sessions of 60-minute. Reading and dyslexia tests were used to measure the dependent variable. Data analysis using multivariate analysis of covariance showed that both dore method and combined methods (direct instruction and phonological awareness) were significantly more effective than the control group on the symptoms of dyslexia(p < .05). Also, the results of pair wise comparisons showed that the combined group (direct training, phonological awareness) In most components of reading, it is more effective than the dore group Therefore, paying attention to the effectiveness of phonological and direct awareness education in combination with the symptoms of student dyslexia is of great importance.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness group therapy based on stress reduction on anxiety and depression in patients with MS in Bojnourd Methods: Samples were selected by simple random sampling (n = 22) and then randomly divided into an experimental group (11 subjects in the stress awareness-based mindfulness group) and a control group (n = 11). Beck Anxiety Inventory and Beck Depression Inventory were used in the pre-test. In the next step, mindfulness based on stress reduction was administered to the experimental group for 8 sessions once a week for two hours and the control group did not receive any intervention. Then the post-test was completed for both groups and the necessary data were collected and analyzed using covariance analysis. Results: The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the group of mindfulness-based stress therapy and the control group in the variables of anxiety and depression. Conclusion: Considering the findings, more attention should be paid to stress-reduction mindfulness intervention in order to reduce the level of anxiety and depression in MS patients.
