According to the deep and reciprocal effect of mental retarded children on family members' lives, especially mothers, and few studies in this group, the present study aimed to investigate the effect of mental retarded child on mother's life. The research method was qualitative: grounded theory. The sample group included 22 Yazd City's mothers with mental retarded child whom were selected by purposive sampling method. The sampling process continued to theoretical saturation. We used non-structured and semi-structured interviews to collect data. By using theoretical encoding, we analyzed the data. We acknowledged 54 concepts in open encoding phase and 9 categories in axial encoding phase. These categories included: facility defect, cost distress, social relationship defect, marital dissatisfaction, support defect, blaming others, belief conflict, pregnancy worry, and future fear. The core category emerged as "care-peril". The result showed that mother's caring of their M.R. children, exposed them to the various perils. Cultural, economic and supportive poverty, as causal conditions affect mother's care-peril phenomenon. Consequences included affective divorce, relationship decline, depression and dissuasion of next pregnancy.

This study is to investigate the relationship between fivefold dimensions of attachment, and internalizing and externalizing disorders among Tehran`s adolescent girls. The research is descriptive and is done based on correlation. The statistical society is all Tehran’s14–17 year-old girls in the academic year 1395,in which 115 girls were chosen based on availability sampling method. Data was collected by self-report inventory of child behavior checklist (YSR) of Achenbach and McConaughy (1991), and attachment styles questionnaire (ASQ) of Feeney and Noller (1994), and was analyzed by Pearson correlation and stepwise regression analysis. Results show that externalizing disorders have respectively negative and positive significant relationship with the dimensions of trust and need for approval, and internalizing disorders have significant positive relationship with need for approval dimension. The results of stepwise regression show that need for approval dimension is predictor of internalizing disorder, and trust and need for approval dimensions are predictors of externalizing disorders. This study illustrates the importance of need for approval dimension as a significant predictor for both internalizing and externalizing disorders in adolescent girls, and presents the pattern of low confidence and high need for approval to predict externalizing disorders in adolescent girls. So, training parents about needs of each stage of development is necessary and can influence attachment and mental health.

This study examined the effect of communicational skills training on social anxiety in boys adolescents with intellectual disability in Yazd. The current investigation was experimental method and design of this study was pretest-posttest with control group type and the population included boys with intellectual disability 11-20 years intellectual disability special schools in Yazd in the academic year 2014-2015. The sample of this study included 40 students that randomly selected and divided into experiment and control groups (20 persons in each group). The instruments used in this study was La Greca Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (SAS-A). The communicational skills training program including 12 sessions of 50 minutes was carried to the experimental group. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics such as covariance analysis was used for data analysis. The Results of this study showed that there is a significant difference between experiment and control groups among social anxiety and all its dimension (p<0/01). The obtained results of data analysis demonstrated that communicational skills training decreased social anxiety (58%) and its components [fear of negative evaluation; social avoidance and distress in new situations; and social avoidance and distress-general (59/30%)] in adolescents of experimental group in compare with control group. Therefore, the research suggests to emphasis on communicational skills training for student with intellectual disability.

Abstract Introduction: Physical and motor disabilities have been defined as a trauma that limits one or more of individual’s main life activities which these disabilities prevent effective demonstration of individual’s physical or mental abilities. Thus the goal of the current research is investigating the role of identity, basic psychological needs and demographic variables in predicting psychological well-being of students with physical and motor disabilities. This means that a sample statistical methods, including 200 students with physical and motor disabilities that were chosen using available sample method. The Aspects of Identity Questionnaire IV (Cheek, J. M. Smith, S.M. & Tropp, L. R. 2003), Psychological Well-being (Carol Ryff, 1980), and Basic Psychological Needs Scale (La Guardia, Ryan, Couchman, & Deci, 2000) were used for collecting the data. The data was analyzed by Pearson correlation and Regression multicollinearity tests. Data analysis showed that identity elements, basic psychological needs and demographic variables could predict psychological well-being of students with physical and motor disabilities. (p<0/0001،p<0/0005). Discussion: Finally, we can conclude that the identity elements, basic psychological needs and demographic variables are elements that affect psychological well-being of students with physical and motor disabilities.

The study was done to determine the relationship between resilience and happiness in parents with behavioral problems in elementary school students in Isfahan. It was a descriptive and correlative research. The statistical population was all elementary school students that studying in Isfahan during 2014-2015. From statistical population 120 students were selected through multistage cluster sampling. The data was collected using resilience and happiness questionnaires and parent form of child behavior checklist. Pearson’s correlation, simultaneous regression and Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used to analyze data. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between resilience of parents and emotional, anxiety, hyperactivity and oppositional behavior problems. Happiness of parents was significantly negatively correlated with emotional, anxiety, physical, hyperactivity, oppositional behavior and conduct problems. Resilience of parents predicted hyperactivity problem and happiness of parents predicted emotional, anxiety, physical, oppositional behavior and conduct problems. Also, there were no difference between girls and boys in terms of the dimensions of behavioral problems. This result emphasizes that parents’ traits have essential role in behavioral problems of girl and boy students.
