The aim of the present study was to comparing marital satisfaction between mothers with one visually impaired child, mothers with more than one visually impaired children and mothers with normal children. The present research was a causal-comparative research and the target population of this study was mothers of normal children and mothers with visually impaired children in Tehran and Karaj in the academic year of 1395-96 in 537 individuals. The sampling method was simple random sampling. The sample size was obtained using the Cochran formula, 224 people (120 mothers with one visually impaired child, 104 mothers with more than one visually impaired children and 120 mothers with normal children). The instruments of this study were Afrooz Marital Satisfaction Scale (AMSS). Analyzing of data is performed using Multivariable Analyze of Variance (MANOVA). The results showed that there were significant differences in marital satisfaction between the three groups (p< .01). Also, the results showed that there were significant differences in Marital Satisfaction Subscales between the three groups (p< .01). On this basis, we can conclude that there were significant differences in Marital Satisfaction between the three groups and Researchers can provide a field of psychological interventions.

Executive function deficits are common in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This research aims to assess effects of remedial rehabilitation on executive functions in preschool children with ADHD symptoms. In the current random clinical trial study pretest, posttest and follow-up design with control group were used. Statistical society includes all preschool ADHD children who referred to counselling centers in Tehran between 2016 -2017. Assessments include ADHD symptom checklist-4 (Gadow & Sprafkin, 1998) and Behavioral rating of executive function-preschool (Gioia,epsy& squith, 2002) questionnaires. After initial assessment by ADHD questionnaire, Thirty two children, who significantly had symptoms, selected by accessible sampling and randomly divided in to experimental group (N=15) and control group (N=17). Intervention group received ARAM computerized cognitive rehabilitation program for 12 sessions in 20 minute, while control group received no treatment. Both groups examined in posttest and follow-up. Data analyzed by repeated measure variance analysis. Result showed remediation rehabilitation significantly improves executive function and ADHD symptoms. We can conclude the remedial rehabilitation by computerized tasks improved cognitive abilities and reduced ADHD symptoms in preschool children.

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of positive thinking traning on self-compassion and life expectancy in mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder of Sabzevar, Iran. This study was semi -experimental and pretest-posttest with control group was used. The statistical population of the study consisted of all mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder of Sabzevar in the academic year 2017-18 that were selected according to eligibility criteria and were assigned to experimental (n = 18) and control (n = 18) groups through simple random sampling. After conducting the pre-test using the self-compassion scale and life expectancy scale, the experimental group received positive thinking traning during 10 sessions of 75 minutes, while the control group received no intervention. After the end of the program, the two groups were given a post-test. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics methods (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance) with the help of version 23 of SPSS. The results showed that positive thinking traning have a significant effect on the self-Compassion and life expectancy with components of the mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder of Sabzevar. Accordingly, positive thinking training is an effective intervention program for helping mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder.

Specific learning disorder (SLD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder.Students with SLD have a high level of cognitive problems, resulting in their academic failure.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of computer-based cognitive rehabilitation on cognitive avoidance of students with specific learning disorder. This study was semi-experimental with pre-test and post-test.The population included all third grade to sixth female students with learning disorder in city of Kermanshah. A sample size of 28 were selected and divided into control and experimental groups. Research Instruments included The Cognitive avoidance Questionnaire (CAQ) of Sexton and Dugas (2008), the Colorado Learning Difficulties Questionnaire (CLDQ) and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for children. Captain Log's cognitive rehabilitation program at 12 session of 50- 60 minute twice a week for the study group was developed. For data analysis, covariance analysis with SPSS software was used. Covariance analysis indicated that the effectiveness of computer-based cognitive rehabilitation caused reduction in children's cognitive avoidance (P<0/001), and a computer-based cognitive rehabilitation can be used as a convenient way to help students with learning disorders to reduce their cognitive avoidance. and help students to use more effective strategies to control anxiety levels and reduce distraction and ultimately improve their academic performance.

Art therapy as a psychotherapy method can be helpful in diagnosis and treatment of many disorders. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of art therapy (visual arts) on the negative symptoms of a number of patients with schizophrenia in the psychiatric center (Ahebba). The method of this study is descriptive as kind of semi experimental with a pre-test/ post-test. Statistical population consisted of all schizophrenic patients in the psychiatric center (Ahebba), among them fourteen patients have been selected through available statistical sampling. The group participated in art therapy sessions for 10 serial 90-minute sessions in four (4) consecutive weeks. To assess the effectiveness of art therapy, the PPAT’s illustrative test and FEATS’s scale of formal element in art therapy have been used. The results from this research shows that art therapy is effective in reducing the negative symptoms (such as anxiety, inattention, depression, low self-steam) in patients with schizophrenia.

Abstract One of the most important factors that lead to conflict in marital life is relationship problem of couples, which is the result of lacking appropriate and necessary skills for establishing healthy and intimate relationships. The present research was conducted by the aim of investigating the effect of relationship enhancement program on conflicts and intimacy of the parents with Mentally retarded students. The present study was a quasi-experimental with a pre-test, post-test design with control group. The statistical population of this study was the parents of Mentally retarded students in Sanandaj city. The sample consisted of 30 parents with higher marital conflict who were selected by convenient sampling and assigned to the experimental (15) and control group (15) randomly. The experimental group received relationship enhancement program during eight 90-minute sessions but the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were collected throuth Walker and Thompson intimacy inventory, and sanai et al marital conflicts inventory. The results of data analysis using covariance test showed that the training relationship enhancement program was effective on reducing conflict and improving intimacy of the parents with Mentally retarded children. According to the results of this study, relationship enhancement program can be used in Clinical and therapeutic interventions Particularly for improving marital relationships of parents with exceptional children.

Present study aimed to determine efficacy of musical activities on executive functions students with educable intellectual disability. This study was a quasi-experimental method with pretest-posttest and a control group design. Statistical population included all students with educable intellectual disability 11-14 years of old from two exceptional schools in Karaj sity in the academic year 1395-96. 30 students were selected from the population through available sampling method and randomly allocated to either a control or experimental group (n=11). meantime the study, 4 students from experimental group and 4 from control group left the intervention(n=11). The experimental group participated at 24 group sessions of one hour musical activities 3-time per week for 8 weeks. The control group did not receive any intervention along with this period. All participants administered computerized Wisconcin Card Sorting Test (WCST), to assessing cognitive flexibility; Go/no Go Test, to assessing inhibitory control; and Digit Span Subtest of WISC-IV, to assessing working memory, befor and after the intervention. Results of data analyzing through Covariance analysis indicated that, there was no differences between post-test scores at the level of ?=0/05. This means that these musical activities program has had not a significant effect on improvement of experimental group functioning on administered executive functions tests.

Intellectual and Developmental Disability is a disorder that affects individuals’ adaptive and intelligent performance in practical, social, and conceptual areas. The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of parenting education based on the Double ABCX model and compassion-based parenting on the mother-child relationship and behavioral problems in children was an intelligence disabilities. The present research employed an experimental research with pretest-posttest, and follow-up design. The subjects were screened based on inclusion criteria, then 45 mothers of children with intellectual disabilities were selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (each group contained15 subjects). Mothers participated in 10 sessions of the Double ABCX program intervention, and in 8 sessions of compassion-based parenting, while the control group did not receive any intervention. The research instruments included The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) and Mother-Child Relationship Questionnaire, performed for all subjects in each of the three stages. Data analysis was conducted using repeated measures. Follow-up tests showed that parenting education based on Double ABCX model has a significant effect on mother-child relationship and behavioral problems in children with intellectual disabilities. As the findings depicted, parenting education based on the Double ABCX model is an effective program for the parenting of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities
