Methods: To fulfill the stated goal five students who were studying in fifth grade in one of primary school in karaj, selected as subjects and the following instruments were administered on them: questionnaire of diagnosis for learning disability(sadeghi & alizadeh, 2016), test of mathematical problem solving which was developed and validated by researcher and personal records of participants. Data were collected by using a single subject research design during baseline and intervention phases. After collecting the data on baseline conditions, a DI program based on the content of the fourth grade math book in elementary school was designed and implemented on all five students and every student was instructed on problem solving based DI program between 7 to 13 sessions lasted for 45- 60 minuets. Results: Comparing students during baseline and intervention phases showed that Direct Instruction program was effective on improving mathematics problem solving skills in five students. All five students were reached the criterion level that was established in advance. Conclusion: It is concluded that DI is effective on improvement of mathematics problem solving skills and it can be used in related interventions.

Abstract Objective: this study aimed to design an creative educational application for family-centered reading and evaluation of its effectiveness in reading skills among the slow-paced students with Down syndrome. Methods: this applied semi-experimental study is a per-test-post-test project, follow-up with the test and control groups. Twenty slow-paced students with Down syndrome were randomly selected and assigned in two test and control groups. Wechsler IQ test, TOLD test and Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT) were run for students in the per-test, and TOLD test was run in the post-test and a half month after follow-up stage. Results were analyzed with Analyze of Co-variance (ANCOVA) and repeated measures analysis. Results: in general, results showed a significant difference in reading between test and control groups and the difference remained sustainable in the follow-up stage. Conclusion: innovation in family- centered reading application was effective in increase in reading skills among the slow-paced students with Down syndrome and this effect remained sustainable. Education by new technologies in the form of software for children with Down syndrome should be seriously considered. Family- centered reading application Can be used for teaching children, families and educators.

The study population included all fifth students in Yazd in academic year 2015 – 2016 that were dyslexia. The research method was experimental with pretest-posttest on two experimental and control groups. Sampling was done in two stages. 30 dyslexic students were diagnosed of being dyslexia by specialists of learning disability by use of sampling method were selected and divided into two experimental group (n = 15) and control one (n = 15). The research instrument for data collection was Coolidge neurological questionnaire and the checklist to diagnose dyslexia. Teaching self-regulated learning were conducted on experimental group during 14 sessions of 45 minute twice a week. Results of examining the hypothesis by use of analysis of covariance (significance level = 0/05) indicated that teaching self-regulated learning has effect on executive functions (planning, organizing and pregnancy) of dyslexic students and it has improved them. Self-regulated learning education can be used to improve executive functions of dyslexic students.

Specific learning disability is a neurodevelopmental disorder. Students with this disability, in addition to academic problems, have high levels of socio-emotional problems. The aim of this study was the effectiveness of play with feeling words on reducing alexithymia in students with learning disabilities. This study is quasi-experimental with pre-post test. The population included all students second to six grade with learning disabilities in Kermanshah that 24 student selected and randomly assigned in two experimental and control groups. The research instrument was Toronto Alexithymia Scale. The experimental group plays feeling words eight sessions 30-minute and twice a week. Covariance analysis indicated that play therapy with feeling words caused reduction in children's alexithymia (P<0/001). Results of this study showed that play therapy with feeling words can be used as a convenient way to help students with learning disorders to reduce their alexithymia.
